At this phase we begin the purchasing of materials and start land clearing. The deliveries begin and the final construction phase proceeds. The landscape architect’s role, at this phase, is to review and approve materials purchased before construction.
DELIVERY OF MATERIALS
It is also the landscape architect’s responsibility to make frequent on-site visits and review with the general contractor the quality materials being delivered for adherence to project specifications.
START OF CONSTRUCTION
Now it gets exciting! we begin to see the final phase and you will see the landscape architect making frequent on-site visits to review with the general contractor the quality of workmanship on the design project. And it is here that they may need to make on-site adjustments, with client approval, to initial design to accommodate issues that may arise.
PURCHASING PLANT MATERIALS
During the construction phase we begin purchasing the quality plant materials. As a licensed Southwest Florida landscape architect, I have years of working knowledge in purchasing plants for our tropical area from quality resources.
Irrigation pipes begin to be installed. This is an important component in the final stage of landscape architecture. Knowledge in this area is critical in selecting a quality installer to creating a stress-free healthy landscaped environment—that is not over-watered or under-watered.
PLANTING TREES & FLOWERS
Southwest Florida is a unique environment that can provide tremendous stress on new plantings. As your landscape architect it is my responsibility to ensure that quality plantings are provided within the necessary environment regarding soil or water to grow successfully—within your new design plan.
